Mechanical assembly technician
Build the thermoforming machines that pack food across 55 countries, from the first bracket to the final test run, in our own production hall in Emmen.
About the job
Our machines leave Emmen fully assembled and tested. As a mechanical assembly technician you build them from the frame up: mounting modules, routing pneumatics, aligning the forming and sealing stations, and running the machine until it packs exactly the way the customer needs it.
You work on one machine at a time, from start to handover. No assembly line, no repetition. Every order has its own tooling, its own film, its own product.
What you will do
- Assemble thermoforming machines, tray sealers and chamber machines from drawings and parts lists
- Install pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical components and connect them to the control cabinet
- Align forming, sealing and cutting stations and set them to the customer's film and product
- Run test cycles with the customer's packaging material and document the results
- Support the service team by phone when a machine in the field needs a second opinion
What you bring
- MBO level 3 or 4 in mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a comparable trade
- Two years of experience assembling machines, or a strong apprenticeship plus real curiosity
- You read technical drawings and pneumatic diagrams without having to guess
- Dutch or German at working level, English is a plus
- You would rather solve the cause than report the symptom
